Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of eye-hand coordination and arm muscle power to the service ability of the athlete's volleyball game Sumber Makmur Volleyball Club Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study were 12 athletes from Sumber Makmur Volleyball Club, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The sampling technique was total sampling, thus the number of samples was 19 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The instruments used were throwing e-target balls, medicine overhead ball throwing tests, and volleyball service tests. The data analysis technique is product moment correlation and multiple correlation. The conclusions of this study are: 1) There is a contribution of eye-hand coordination to the service results on volleyball at the Sumber Makmur Volleyball Club Athletes. The results of the correlation calculation obtained the value of rcount x1y of 0.754, with a percentage of 58.6%. 2) There is a contribution of arm muscle power to the service results on volleyball at the Sumber Makmur Volleyball Club Athletes. The correlation calculation results get the rcount x2y value of 0.604, with a percentage of 36.4%. 3) There is no contribution of eye-hand coordination and arm muscle power simultaneously to the results of volleyball services at the Sumber Makmur Volleyball Club Athletes, Tapung District, Kampar Regency.
