Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination to the lower passing skills of volleyball athletes at the Klub Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru. The type of this research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were athletes from the Klub Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru, which amounted to 15 people. The research instrument used was a push-up test, a test of hand-eye coordination and a volleyball-bottom passing skill test. The data analysis technique used is the multiple correlation value test. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the following conclusions can be drawn (1) There is a contribution of arm muscle strength to the bottom passing skills of volleyball athletes at the Klub Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru of 44.09% with rcount = 0.664 > rtable = 0.514, (2) There are the contribution of eye-hand coordination to the volleyball bottom-passing skills of the Klub Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru athletes was 36.24% with rcount = 0.602 > rtable = 0.514, (3) There was a contribution of arm muscle strength and eye-hand coordination to the bottom-passing skills of the Klub Dinas Perhubungan Kota Pekanbaru is 52.85% with rcount = 0.727 > rtable = 0.514.
