Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of teaching art and culture subjects (kuala deli) in class VII c SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Mandau. Likewise the method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive data presentation. While the data collection techniques used are observation, interview, documentation. The research subjects consisted of 5 people consisting of 1 art and culture teacher and 4 students of class VII c in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Mandau. The location of the research is in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Mandau, Siak Regency, Riau Province, which is located on Jalan Lintas Mandau, precisely in Muara Kelantan Village. The theory used in this study is Herry Widyastono (2014: 201) which states about the components and systematic of the lesson plan that includes: 1) learning objectives, 2) learning materials, 3) learning methods, 4) learning resources, and 5) assessment. While the data analysis technique used is data reduction, data display, and making conclusions then verified. Based on the results of research in the field, it can be concluded that when the teacher will begin the teaching and learning process, the teacher prepares the learning kit first, which is the lesson plan that contains the objectives of learning which are the scope of basic competency that can be organized at each teaching and learning meeting. Then the material from learning is the identification of the achievement of KD through consideration of the potential achieved by students. Furthermore, the method of learning applied by the teacher is the method of lectures, discussions and questions and answers among peers. Next learning resources used by teachers are printed books as support, worksheets, speakers and other literature. Whereas the assessment conducted by the teacher is written and practical test assessment. The results of conducting curriculum research used by SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Mandau have used the 2013 curriculum. It has been taught to be delivered well. In learning activities the teacher divides into 6 meetings which are 18 hours of lessons. Whereas in class management the teacher always creates an effective learning atmosphere so that students feel comfortable and calm when following the lessons taught by the teacher. Likewise the material taught has been conveyed well to students and students can apply it when doing practice and the material taught has been conveyed properly.
