Abstract

This research is based on the problem of the increasing population in Seberida Subdistrict annually, which causes the distribution of PKH is not evenly distributed because it is not registered. This study aims to determine and explain the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Poverty Alleviation in Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu Riau Regency. The theoretical concept in this study is based on Siagian (2008: 77) which consists of the clarity of the goals to be achieved, the clarity of the strategy for achieving goals, the process of analysis and formulation of solid policies, careful planning, proper programming, availability of work facilities and infrastructure, and effective and efficient implementation. . This research is a quantitative descriptive study, meaning that the data obtained is in the form of quantitative data and is explained using descriptive methods. Based on the research results and research objectives, it is known that the effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Poverty Alleviation in Seberida District, Indragiri Hulu Riau Regency has been effective, seen from being dominated by the choice of effective answers with an average score of 54 with a percentage of 56.31% . Barriers to the Effectiveness of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Poverty Alleviation in Seberida Subdistrict, Indragiri Hulu Riau Regency, namely that facilities and infrastructure still use existing facilities and there are no special facilities for the PKH program. There are still people who do not use PKH funds for their main interest, namely food and clothing, there is still a lack of monitoring of PKH participants, and there are still many poor people who have not become PKH participants.
