Abstract
This study is motivated by the declining politeness among the teenagers in RT 4 RW 4 (RT means a neighbourhood unit and RW means a hamlet unit). Based on the informationfrom the head of RT 4, he states that there are 125fam;/ies whose 32 teenagers that 50% of them are still undergoing education, 25% of the teenagers still study in senior high schools, which consists of 5 girls and 3 boys and also 9 teenagers who study in State Madrasah Aliyah. The problem formulation of this study is whether there is an influence of parental guidance on teenagers' polite attitudes in RT -I RW -I Air Dingin Sub-district, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of parental guidance on teenagers' polite attitudes in RT 4 RW 4 Air Dingin Sub district, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The subject of this study is the teenagers in RT ./. RW ./., Air Dingin Sub-district, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. While the object of this study is the influence of parental guidance on polite attitudes. The type of this study is quantitative. The population of this study consists of 32 teenagers who live in RT 4 RW 4 Air Dingin Sub-district, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The data collection technique used is questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis performed by SPSS Version 20. The results of this study show that there is an influence of parental guidance on teenagers' polite attitudes in RT -I RW -I Air Dingin Sub-district, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City by 31.8%, which is included in the range 0.20-0.399 or in the low category.
