Abstract

This study is motivated by the problems of incompatible behaviors with Islamic personality, while the Islamic personality is a series of normative human behavior, both as an individual being and a social being whose norms are derived from Islamic teachings based on the Al-Qur'an and al-Sunnah. The rationale states that when a Muslim makes aqidah Islam as a basis of his thoughts and tendencies, then his personality becomes Islamic. Based on these problems, the researcher is interested in doing a study on the influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents. The problem formulation of this study: Is there an influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents in Rambah Baru Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency?. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents in Rambah Baru Village, Rambah Samo District,Rokan Hulu Regency. The type of this study is a correlational research with quantitative methods. The subject of this study is the adolescents in Rambah Baru Village and the object is the influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents in Rambah Baru Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The sample of this study is taken from the entire population, namely 80 people. Based on the results of data processing and data analysis by using SPSS 22, it is found that the significance level (p-value) is 0,000. Because the p-value is less than 0.05, or 0.000 < 0.05, it means that there is an influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents in Rambah Baru Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The magnitude of the level of influence can be seen from the pearson product moment probability value of 0.209, which lies in the range of 0,20-0,399. So, it can be concluded that the influence of traditional society environment on the Islamic personality of adolescents in Rambah Baru Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency is in the low category.
