Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited public knowledge of Sharia Electronic Money, as well as the low public interest in using Sharia Electronic Money as a substitute for cash. The problem formulation of this stud is how the public knowledge in Pekanbaru City about the use of Sharia Electronic Money. The aim of this study is to investigate the level of public knowledge in Pekanbaru City about the use of Sharia Electronic Money in the LinkAja application. The subjects of this study are the people in Pekanbaru City. While the object of this study is the level of public knowledge in Pekanbaru City about the Use of Sharia Electronic Money. The data sources of this study are from primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used is the Krejcie-Morgan formula, and the data collection technique used is questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative method with the calculation process performed by SPSS For Windows version 23.0. The sample of this study consists of 384 respondents. Based on the results of the respondents' answers on the analysis of public knowledge in Pekanbaru City about the Use of Sharia Electronic Money, it can be concluded that P = 59.53%. It means that the analysis of public knowledge in Pekanbaru City about the Use of Sharia Electronic Money is in the level of "sufficiently aware" with a percentage of 41%- 60%.
