Abstract

The study was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution Km 11 No. 113 Air Dingin, Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. The research has been carried out from March - July 2019. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the interaction and main effect of NASA's vermicompost fertilizer and POC on the growth and development of strawberry plants. The experimental design uses factorial completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor dose of vermicompost fertilizer (Factor K), 4 levels of treatment are K0: without treatment, K1: 40 g / plant, K2: 80 g / plant, K3: 120 g / plant. The second factor was the NASA POC concentration (Factor P), 4 levels of treatment namely P0: without treatment, P1: 2.5 ml / l, P2: 5.0 ml / l, P3: 7.5 ml / l. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of stolons, leaf stalk length, plant dry weight, root volume. The observations were analyzed statistically and continued with a BNJ test of 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of vermicompost fertilizer and NASA POC significantly affected all observed research parameters. The best treatment is a combination of a dose of vermicompost 120 g / plant and a NASA POC concentration of 5.0 ml / l. The treatment obviously produced 5 stolons. The main effect of vermicompost fertilizer is real on the parameters of plant height, number of stolons, leaf stalk length, plant dry weight, and root volume. The best treatment is a dose of vermicompost 120 g / plant. The main influence of NASA POC is evident on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of stolons, plant dry weight, and root volume. The best treatment is the NASA POC concentration of 5.0 ml / l.
