Abstract
Agriculture, especially the plantation subsector, has an important role in the Indonesian economy. Rubber is one of the plantation commodities which has contributed greatly to the national GDP. This study aims to (1) Describe the characteristics of farmers and rubber farming profile through KUB, (2) Analyze rubber farming including production costs, net income, gross income, and efficiency, (3) Analyze rubber marketing which includes marketing channels, marketing institutions , marketing functions, marketing costs, marketing margins, marketing profits, marketing efficiency, and farmer's share. This research was conducted in Pebaun Hilir Village, Kuantan Mudik Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency from January 2019 to June 2019. The method used in this study was a survey method, the samples taken were 30 KUB Farmers and 1 Large Trader by using simple random sampling techniques. . Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that the characteristics of KUB rubber farmers in Pebaun Hilir Village included an average age of 45 years, education of 9 years (SLTP), experience of farming that was 19 years, and the number of family dependents was 3 people. The profile of rubber farming through KUB in the village of Pebaun Hilir is that the land is inherited from the family, working on the land using their own capital. The average cultivated land area of rubber farmers is 1.67 Ha, and the average use of labor in the family is 154.07 HOK / year. The average cost incurred by rubber farmers through KUB in one year is Rp. 16,217,372, with rubber production of 3,834 kg / year, and the profit obtained by rubber farmers is as much as Rp. 10,891,079 / year. Rubber farming has been efficient with an RCR value of 1.81. The marketing functions performed at KUB include: sales, purchases, transportation, storage, capital, risk management, market information, standardization and grading. There are 1 marketing channels in KUB rubber farming, namely: Rubber Farmers (KUB) - KUB - Wholesalers (Factories). The marketing institutions involved are wholesalers (factories). The average marketing cost of rubber farmers in KUB rubber farming is Rp 400 / kg. Marketing margin of Rp 1,259 / Kg. Farmer's Share of farmers 86.16% and Farmer's Share of large traders 13.84%. The marketing profit received by big traders is IDR 859 / Kg. The marketing of KUB farmers' rubber is efficient with an efficiency value of 4.39%.
