Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the strategy of developing religious tourism in the Indragiri Hilir Regency with the object of the Tomb of Sheikh Abdurrahman Siddiq Al-Banjar. The population in this study were tourists visiting the tomb both from the sub-district of Kuala Indragiri, Taluk Dalam Village, Kampung Hidayat Sapat. or those from outside other regions or provinces. The sampling technique in this study used the purposive non-probability sampling method, which amounted to 100 people. As for the data analysis technique in this study using SWOT analysis. The results of the research based on the Swot analysis show that the development carried out by the Regional Government is still not implemented or the participation in developing religious tourism in Indragiri Hilir Regency is still low, this is what causes the weakness of religious tourism, the PERDA which regulates the Development of Religious Tourism is still not implemented. due to the lack of government awareness to develop tourism in the area and the absence of more funds to develop religious tourism in Indragiri Hilir Regency.
