Abstract

Agroindustry is a form of business that can increase the value of addition, employment absorption while taking advantage of market opportunities and reduce the risk of food shortages. This research aims to analyze (1) the characteristics of entrepreneurs and the business profile of Samerasa, (2) the use of raw materials, processing technology, production processes and use of labor Samerasa business, (3) analyzing production costs, revenue and business efficiency Samerasa (4) added value to Samerasa's business, and (5) institutions, channels, functions marketing, costs, margins and marketing efficiency of Samerasa's business. This research This research was carried out in Teluk Belitung Village, Merbau District, Kepulauan Regency Meranti Riau Province for 6 months from October 2019 to March 2020. The method used in this research is the survey method is a case study on Samerasa's efforts. Respondents in this study were taken by census on Samerasa dry sago cendol agroindustry. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the age of entrepreneurs Samerasa dry sago cendol agroindustry is in the same age group productive age, which is 47 years and the age of the workforce used includes the age of productive, which is 42 years. Entrepreneur's education period is 6 years (elementary school level), and 9 years of workforce (junior high school level). 15 years of entrepreneurial experience, and 5 year workforce. The dependents of the entrepreneur's family are 3 people and the workforce is 2 people. Business profile of dry sago cendol agroindustry Samerasa was established in 2005 to date. The business scale of the dry sago cendol agroindustry of Samerasa includes into a home industry scale with their own sources of capital. technology that use is still simple. The number of workers used is 2 people including entrepreneurs. The use of wet sago raw materials for 1 time process an average production of 15 kg with the use of supporting materials, including: pandan paste 1 bottle, 3 kg LPG gas and 60 pcs plastic. The total cost incurred is Rp 229,527/production process. Gross income of IDR 720,000/production process and net income of Rp 490,473/production process. Return Cost Ratio (RCR) obtained is 3.13 and the added value is Rp. 36,867/kg. Furthermore, There are 2 marketing agencies involved in marketing dried sago cendol Samerasa in Teluk Belitung Village, which is channel I from entrepreneurs to traders retailer and then to the consumer. Channel II entrepreneur to consumer. Marketing Margin I is IDR 3000/pack with an efficiency of 8.66%. Channel II has no margin marketing because the purchase price of the entrepreneur and the selling price of the entrepreneur to the consumer are the same.
