Abstract
This research is about efforts to increase the production of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) in meeting the supply of sweet corn on the market, as well as one of the efforts to increase agricultural productivity by utilizing crop residues, planting rice, by growing rice by processing it into a fertilizer location then given to the soil as a basic fertilizer before planting sweet corn. This research discusses the importance of assistance for bokashi, paddy, paddy, time, bocation provision, which are different before planting. And want to see further which combination of these two combinations and whether or not there is an effect on the growth and production of sweet corn plants. This research has been carried out in the Mulia peasants group located in Bungaraya Village, Bungaraya District, Siak Regency, from November 2018 to March 2019. This research uses a completely randomized design in factorial, which consists of 2 factors. As the first factor is the dose of bocation (B) which consists of 4 levels consisting of rice straw bocation of 0.7, 1.4, 2.1, and 2.8 kg perplot bocation while the second factor is giving bocation to the soil before planting ( W) consisting of 4 levels, 0, 1, 2, and 3 weeks before planting ,. The two factors are combined so that 16 combinations are obtained and each consultation is repeated 3 times, in order to obtain 48 experimental units. The results showed that the interaction of various doses of bocation and timing of bocation gave significant agreement to the parameters of plant height, row of corn seeds, net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. And does not mean significantly to the wide and heavy leaves of corn cobs. The best combination of giving is giving a dose of 2.8 kg / plot and the time of giving a bocation 2 weeks before planting.
