Abstract

This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru, for 5 months, starting from November 2020 - March 2021. The purpose of the study was to determine the main and interaction effect of rice husk charcoal and Gandasil B on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. . This study used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). 4 x 4 consisting of 2 factors, namely the Rice Husk Charcoal factor with 4 treatment levels of 0.25 g/polybag, 50 g/polybag and 75 g/polybag and the Gandasil B fertilizer factor with 4 treatment levels of 0, 1.5 g/l water, 3.0 g/l water and 4.5 g/l water. Parameters observed were plant height, number of main branches, age of flowering, percentage of flowers to fruit, age of harvest, weight of fruit per plant, number of fruit per plant and number of remaining fruits. The data from the observations of each treatment were statistically analyzed and continued with a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that: The interaction of rice husk charcoal and Gandasil B fertilizer affects plant height, flowering age, percentage of flowers to fruit, harvest age, fruit weight per plant, number of fruits per plant and number of remaining fruits. The best treatment dose of rice husk charcoal 75 g/polybag and a concentration of 4.5 g/l water. The main effect of the dose of rice husk charcoal was real on all observation parameters, the best treatment of rice husk charcoal was 75 g/polybag. The main effect of Gandasil B concentration was significant on all observation parameters, the best treatment was 4.5 g/l water.
