Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of the accounting application carried out by shoe shop entrepreneurs in the high cliff sub-district, Meranti Islands regency with SAK EMKM. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The data techniques in this study were interviews, documentation and questionnaires. After all the data is collected then, the data is analyzed using descriptive methods so that it can be seen how the application of accounting carried out by handicraft businesses in Pekanbaru with basic accounting concepts. The results obtained from the research that have been conducted by researchers are: (1) shoe shop entrepreneurs in the cliffs of high sub-district, Meranti Islands district have not applied the concept of recording profit and loss in their business, (2) the basis of recording used by shoe shop entrepreneurs in the sub-district cliffs in the high regency of the Meranti Islands is a single entry system, (3) the shoe shop entrepreneurs in the cliffs of the high sub-district of the Meranti Islands Regency have not applied the concept of financial methods in their business, (4) the shoe shop entrepreneurs in the high cliff sub-district of the Meranti Islands Regency have not applied the concept equity in his business. The recording system carried out by shoe shop entrepreneurs in the cliffs of the high district of the Meranti Islands district is still simple in providing adequate and quality information in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting in running their business.
