Abstract

Mining activities for C minerals in Pasir Sialang Village have an effect on other land use changes in an area. Knowing these effects can provide input to the arrangement of the area where the mining is located to anticipate the negative effects of land changes that will occur. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the development of mining materials C in Pasir Sialang Village. The benefit of this research is as a basic reference in making zoning policies and regulations for mining. This study uses a quantitative method in the form of Multiple Linear Regression Analysis to measure the effect of mining activities on land use change. Mining activities are identified based on the mining area, mining results and the number of mine workers as the independent variable and changes in land use area as the dependent variable. Mining data is obtained through secondary surveys in the form of document review and primary surveys in the form of interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the land use area data is calculated using Arc-GIS on the image map sourced from Google Earth which is then analyzed using the Time Series method. The results of this study indicate that the area of mining, mining products and the number of mine workers from 2010-2019 have increased by an average of 2.09%, 2.19% and 0.56% respectively. Based on the results of the time series analysis of the land use map in the period 2010-2019, there was a change in land use by an average of 11.11% with the largest changes occurring in the use of mining, agricultural and plantation land. The results of multiple linear regression analysis based on the t test, that the number of additional mining areas (X1) affects changes in land use (Y), the number of additional mining products (X2) affects changes in land use (Y) and the number of additional mining workers (X3) affects changes in land use (Y).
