Abstract

The traditional marriage ceremony is basically a form of ceremony that exists in the series of human life and will remain in every community. However, it will continue to be an element of culture that is always lived in. As an internalized element, the traditional wedding ceremony contains very broad values, especially among the community where this is the custom of maantar jujuran which sometimes becomes a burden for the prospective husband to do the marriage. The main problem in this research is how the custom of maantar jujuran in the traditional marriage of the banjar tribe in Tembilahan City, Indaragiri Hilir Regency. How is the review of Islamic law on the burden of prospective husbands in the custom of maantar jujuran 'and the benefit of the fade which is achieved by the custom of maantar jujuran in the review of Islamic law (study of the Banjar tribe community in Tembilahan City, Indragiri Hilir district) This type of research used in this research is observational research, is by direct field survey using the interview method as a means of collecting data. Meanwhile, based on the nature of this research, it is descriptive in nature, where the writer provides a clear and detailed description. Based on the results of the research conducted by the author, due to the custom of maantar jujuran, it makes the prospective husband to marry the woman he dreams of being hampered so that sometimes the prospective husband is sometimes stressed and takes the prospective wife away so he can marry the woman so that the woman's approval with money lighter panai to be paid by the men
