Abstract

The Village Consultative Body is the embodiment of democracy in the village, which is intended so that the administration of government must pay attention to the aspirations of the community which are articulated and aggressed by the Village Consultative Council and other community institutions. The Village Consultative Body (BPD) has the function of establishing village regulations with the Village Head, accommodating and channeling community aspirations, the position and function of the BPD basically allows the involvement of the people to take part in and the decision-making process and policies in the village. This study aims how implementation function Batu Sasak also find out obstacles in the implementation of the functions of the Village Consultative Body in Sasak Desabatu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research methods and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature study, and the informants in this study amounted to 3 people. Based on existing research, it shows that the implementation of the functions of the Village Consultative Body in Government Administration in Batu Sasak Village has not been going well. This can be seen from each function that has not been maximized, by following the village legislation mechanism and the Permendagri on the Village Consultative Body. Because in carrying out its duties and functions, the BPD in this village does not clearly understand what its duties and functions are as a member of the Village Consultative Body.
