Abstract
The development of the tourism industry in Pekanbaru City is currently growing rapidly. To improve tourist transportation service facilities in Pekanbaru City requires creativity and new innovations in addition to supporting infrastructure. For that we need a special tourist transportation mode that functions to connect tourist locations with one another. The purpose of this research is to plan a tourist transportation in the form of potential demand, routes, characteristic systems, and vehicle operating costs as well as tourism transportation operating rates. The method used is qualitative with the data collected in this study including primary data, namely conducting interviews with tour guides and bus service business owners to determine the cost of spare parts and services. Secondary data is a list of tourist objects, number of tourists, taxes and vehicle depreciation. Analysis of the calculation of the tourist transportation operational system, the calculation of the tourist transportation operational and tariffs refers to the Decree of the Director General of Land Transportation No. 687 in 2002. The results of this research that the tourism transportation route is planned to be one route in the center of Pekanbaru City. For a fleet of 3 buses and 16 rites per day, of the tourist transportation operational is Rp. 21,526.6,- per bus-km and the fare per passenger is Rp. 20,000,-. Suggestions for improvement need an in-depth study of passenger potential and financial feasibility.
