Abstract
This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the learning outcomes of students of class XI of SMA Serirama YLPI with the application of Inquiry. This study consisted of two cycles with 23 research subjects. Through the use of inquiry methods in the mathematics subject line and sequence material in class XI can increase student learning activities. This is in accordance with observers / researchers' observations that have been made on students ranging from cycle I to Cycle II and there is an increase in each cycle ie the average cycle I 61.74 increased in cycle II to 85.87. Through the use of inquiry models in mathematics subject matter Fractions in class XI can improve student learning outcomes. This is consistent with the value of learning outcomes obtained from cycle I to cycle II. Thus, the use of inquiry methods in the mathematics subject matter of the Line and Series material can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students of class XI of SMA SERIRAMA YLPI PEKANBARU.
