Abstract
Bengkalis Island is the center of government of Bengkalis Regency. Every year the population on the island of Bengkalis has increased. Increasing population growth will coincide with an increase in transportation movement. Overall, Bengkalis Regency does not have documents related to the study of community movement patterns, which is why research is needed to examine the distribution patterns of these movements. In order to anticipate regional planning in order to develop a more targeted and definite transportation network system in urban areas. The purpose of this study was to examine the distribution patterns of community movements on the island of Bengkalis. The analysis used is descriptive analysis to identify the zone of movement and trip generation. And the Gravity model (GR) with the type of model without boundaries (UCGR) to analyze the distribution trips. The results showed that the study area was divided into 5 zones which were classified based on their accessibility. The highest number of trip generators is in zone 2 and the lowest trip generation is in zone 1. While the distribution trips based on the gravity model with the type of model without boundaries is divided into 3 classes: low, medium and high.
