Abstract
In a development of construction project, the first implementation of the structural work is the foundation work. Foundation is a part of the structure that carries the burden from the upper structure to the supporting soil layers. If in the initial planning the foundation miscalculates the carrying capacity according to applicable conditions, there is a great potential for construction failure. Therefore, a study of bearing capacity and reduction of piles at the BRI PekanbaruTower with aim to determine the carrying capacity of piles, reduction of piles, safety factors obtained from the methods that used in this study and comparing the results of the calculation of bearing capacity and reduction with test results from field test namely PDA test. The calculation of this study is using laboratory test soil data released by PT. Statika Ultimit, shop drawing structural data and shop drawing architectural data released by PT. Arkitek Tim Empat, the depth of the piles was obtained from PT. Atelier Enam Project Management. Calculation of bearing capacity of piles and safety factor using static method and finite element method. Analysis of the static method use the Kulhawy + Alpha method, the Poulos and Davis method + the Lamda method and the U.S. Army Corps method and 2D axisymmetry finite element method with interface. For the reduction analysis is using the Poulos and Davis method and the 2D finite element axisymmetry method with interface. From the results of the analysis on ETABS obtained the maximum load at the point As-6D. The carrying capacity that is close to the PDA test results at the As-6D point is the 2D finite element axisymmetry method with an interface with pole bearing capacity values ranging from 3600 kN to 3900 kN and the safety factor obtained is 2,6 using the Poulos and Davis method, while the other method result is that the carrying capacity and safety factor are bigger than the result of the PDA test, a decrease approaching the decrease in the PDA test is the Poulos and Davis method, which is 2 mm to 3,2 mm and all calculations of decrease are smaller than the decrease in permits from 60 mm.
