Abstract

Around 60% of the world remaining oil reserves are found in carbonate reservoir. Carbonate rocks are generally oil wet resulting in oil flows more difficult because more oil soaks the pores of rocks. This will cause low oil recovery factor. As world energy demand increases, then it needs to be applied the technology of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) in carbonate reservoir. Surfactant-polymer flooding is one of the methods to improve oil recovery factor in carbonate reservoir. An excess of Surfactant-polymer flooding is the use of surfactants that can change the wettability of the rock and the polymer that can increase the sweep efficiency so as to improve the oil recovery factor. Analysis of the influence of the sensitivity on the research done by simulation research using software CMG-STARS with quartered five spot pattern. Simulations carried out on homogeneous reservoir models to figure out the influence sensitivitas of volume injection 0,2PV, 0,4PV, 0,6PV, 0,8PV, 1PV dan 1,2PV and surfactant concentration 0,01%, 0,05%, 0,1% dan 0,15% and polymer concentration 0,0001%, 0,0003%, 0,0007%, dan 0,001% and volume of sensitivitas injection against the oil recovery factor. Based on the simulations have been performed, the obtained value recovery factors can directly determine the influence of surfactant-polymer flooding which has been applied in Y field conditions. Base case waterflooding, value recovery factor 39,18% whereas conditions with surfactant-polymer flooding recovery factor reached 47.85%. And on the results of the sensitivity analysis to see that the parameters of the injection volume and concentration can affect the recovery factor. Surfactant flooding eecovery factor is the highest on the concentration of surfactants 0,1% and the volume of injection of 1PV that is 47,48%. Polymer flooding recovery factor on most high is on the concentration 0,0007% and volume of injection 1PV that is 46,77%. While at the polymersurfactant flooding recovery factor is the highest on the concentration of surfactants 0,1% + and polymer 0,0001% and injection volume 1PV that is 47,85%.
