Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship of metacognition awareness with biology learning outcomes based on academic levels and grade levels in SMA Negeri 2 Bangkinang kota 2019/2020 academic year. The study was conducted in January 2020. This research is correlational research and data collection using questionnaires, documentation and interviews. The sample in this study were 114 students with different academic levels and grade levels. Data analysis in this study uses Person Product Moment correlation analysis techniques. The results showed that in high academic students class X, XI and XII between metacognition awareness (X) with learning outcomes (Y) there was a strong relationship that is (0.714), (0.617) and (0.604). In academic class studenta X, XI and XII between metacognition awareness (X) with learning outcomes (Y) there is a moderate relationship, that is (0.508), (0.511) and (0.530). In low academic class X, XI and XII students between metacognition awareness (X) with learning outcomes (Y) there is a strong relationship that is (0.711), (0.668) and (0.617). For the significant test scores, it was found that in high academic classes students X, XII and XII, were tcount (2.49)> table (2.44), tcount (2.55)> table (2.30) and tcount (2, 39)> table (2.22). In academics while students in class X, XI, and XII are tcount (2.20)> table (2.14), tcount (2.45)> table (2.10) and tcount (2.43)> table (2 , 10). at low academic class X, XI, and XII students are tcount (2.47)> table (2.44), tcount (2.56)> table (2.30) and tcount (2.47)> table (2 , 22). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between metacognition awareness and student biology learning outcomes based on academic level and grade levels in SMA Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota Academic Year 2019/2020.
