Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to see how the differences in learning outcomes between coope rative learning Think Pair Share Type (TPS) with the cooperative learning model type The Power of Two (TPOT) in the Class VII Environmental Pollution material MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is an experimental research by compa ring two research clas ses, namely experimental class X 1 and experimental class X 2 . The sample of this study was chosen based on homogeneity test and class VII.2 was determined as experimental class X 1 (TPS) and class VII.3 as experimental class X 2 (TPOT). Data collection in t his study used test techniques. From the analysis of t - test data it is known that tcount> ttable 2.040> 2.020, then H 1 is accepted and H 0 is rejected, meaning that there are differences in biology learning outcomes between classes apply ing Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning and classes that implement cooperative learning type The Power Of Two (TPOT) on the material of class VII expression system Hasanah Pekanbaru MTs Ac ademic Year 2018/2019. Based on the analysis of descriptive data obtained the average cognitive learning outcomes of the experimental class X 1 (VIII4) = 87.70 and the experim ental class X 2 (VIII3) = 85.85. Thus it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes applying the Think Pair Share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model and the The Power of Two (TPOT) type of cooperative learning model where the class applying Think Pair Share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model has better learning outcomes (87.70) compared to classes that ap ply The Power of Two (TPOT) learning model (85.85).
