Abstract

Seeing the condition of oil and gas world oil prices have decreased, thus forcing each company to cut production costs in each line so that the company can survive. Especially the Artificial Lift on the Hydraulic Pumping Unit is a cost reduction reduction strategy but the HPU is running well (Operational Excellence in Cost Reduction) by empowering the use of HPU Rerun as a second optional. HPU Rerun is HPU Used unit is used from production well, where at the time of discharge and disassembly of the pump it is found that the unit is still in good condition and the recommendation is reusable at the next well. As used pump units from previous production wells, and only limited to Rerun (small service) and continuous production, it is necessary to evaluate the Rerun pump installed in Mubarak field to see whether the pump performance is above average perfomance or not. if not then it will be done by re-designing the pump by modifying the N and Stroke Length (S) but not the type of pump and the amount of HPU, this is due to the efficiency of pump maintenance costs without ignoring the expected flow rate. It turns out that the evaluation results of HPU Rerun pump installed RS#212 well with pump EJP 2.25 below the average pump performance that is 24%, thus re-design by converting S to 92 inch and N to 7,8 spm, and obtained improvement of pump efficiency by 50%, from 24% to 74% with Q 271 bfpd. Thus the company is able to save the cost of Rp 10.500.000.000 covering the entire BOB area for 2017 until 2019, since there is no need to replace the pump. The number of HPU Rerun installed as many as 30 wells or 42,8%, and the rest in the Repair as much as 40 wells or about 57,2% because the conditions are really damaged.
