Abstract

Squeeze cementing is re-cementing as one of the well-care steps, by placing the slurry cement with a relatively small volume in the desired position, one of which is to cover the perforation zone. The method of squeeze cementing used in the research is by the method of balance plug. This research was conducted on well X by collecting well data, performing data processing including calculation of cementing design, planning of cementing procedure, cementing test result by doing cement tag and compressive strength test. The result of the research shows that when the injectivity test well X has loss so it is necessary to plan the cementing of its desainya specially in loss area. The result showed that the total volume of cement must be pumped as much as 16.33 barrel with 79.73 sack of sack, after pumping and hesitation was done by WOC for 4 hours, compressive strength test was done by giving 500 psi pressure for 10 minutes. So it can be concluded squeeze cementing successfully closed the X well perforation.
