Abstract
The potential for the EOR process to be carried out at this time is significant enough to increase the amount of oil production. To start the EOR process it is necessary to do screening criteria to determine the correct EOR method in a field. To facilitate the screening criteria, this study will use the help of fuzzy logic which is one branch of the science of artificial intelligence (AI). Because the screening criteria recommended by Taber cannot be taken as a strong mathematical level in determining the EOR method. This study aims to apply the fuzzy logic trapezoidal shape LR-type method in the selection of the appropriate EOR method in a field. The field understudy is general for all field conditions as long as the required parameter data is available. In this study, researchers will use field X data, because this field has experienced a continuous decline in production with a large number of reserves, the average oil production is around 4100 BOPD. Various ways have been done to increase oil production in the field. One of them uses conventional recovery methods, primary and secondary, but the results obtained are still not optimal and there is still oil saturation remaining in the reservoir, so it is necessary to do the application of advanced oil recovery (EOR). In general, Field X has a mechanism for driving the type of solution gas drive. The recommended EOR method in this study is nitrogen and flue gas around 28.64% using the LR-type fuzzy logic trapezoidal shape software. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the most appropriate EOR method on field X is nitrogen and flue gas. Moreover, the driving mechanism in the X field is the solution gas drive.t
