Abstract
Composite ceramic panel plate (PPKK) is one type of composite product/ceramic panel made of particles bonded with a binder or matrix and then cold pressed. Reinforcement is added by binders with the aim of improving mechanical properties by spreading the stresses between the fibers and the matrix. This study aims to determine the mechanical properties (hardness), porosity and microstructure of the composite ceramic panel plate. In this study, the selected composite material was silica and the composite matrix was polyethylene glycol (PEG) 400 and was given pressure variations of 3 Tons, 4 Tons and 5 Tons. The printed composite ceramic panel plate (PPKK) was tested for hardness (Brinell) to determine the value of the hardness of the composite, and a porosity test was carried out to determine the percentage (%) of porosity in the composite which was printed under compression and observed the microstructure using an optical microscope.
