Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the competence of members of the Pekanbaru Criminal Police Criminal Division, the population in this study was the population of all 91 Criminal Police Pekanbaru members, and the sample in this study used the census technique because of less than 100 people, the sample was determined by 35 people . Data collection techniques in this study used interviews and questionnaires that directly plunged into the field to interview respondents. The results of this study are to show that the competence of members of the Pekanbaru Police Criminal Unit is very optimal, it is shown that with competency of knowledge, skills, behavior, and experience that is in line with effectively so that the unit members in the Pekanbaru Police Criminal Unit can improve the quality of Police the Pekanbaru
