Abstract
This research aims to identify the factors that cause the increase of free fatty acid levels, moisture content and impurities that exceed the standard to overcome problems, using the Six Sigma method through the stage approach DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Based on the results of the data processing has been done defining the standard quality problems in the production process and based on the calculation of Sigma values, the average level of Sigma 3.640 with possible damages of 16,371.0317 for a million times the production process (DPMO). The calculation with Pareto diagram that has a percentage value is free fatty acid levels 0.86%, water content 0.13%, and dirt content 0.02%. Based on quality control it can be said that the company provides enough benefits in order to reduce product failures but not maximally. So it is advisable that the company improves SIGMA capability and improves the process by making improvements to the machine, raw materials, methods and coaching and employee work supervision.
