Abstract

Stress is defined as a symptom or condition felt by a person that arises due to the inability of a person to face the changes that occur. Stress also arises due to many external demands such as family and the surrounding environment but cannot be realized by the individual because of his inability. This study aims to describe the stress level of parents who accompany children to learn online. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative using the sampling technique Quota Sampling. The number of subjects in this study amounted to 150 parents at SDN 050 Bengkalis. The results showed that the level of stress experienced by parents was at a moderate level with a total of 62 parents (41.333% ). The level of stress seen by gender that has been tested by chi square shows that there is no significant difference between the stress experienced by men and women with an asymptotic significance value of 0.416 (p> 0.05). Chi square results were also carried out to see parental stress based on the child's class level, the asymptotic significance value showed a value of 0.679 (p> 0.05) meaning that there was no significant difference between the stress experienced by parents who had children in 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade of Elementary School. The chi square test which was carried out to see parental stress based on the last education showed an asymptotic significance value of 0.770 (p>0.05), this also explains that there is no significant difference between the stress experienced by parents with low and high education.
