Abstract
This research is entitled "The Effect of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Fish Waste and NPK 16:16:16 Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas L.)". This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM. 11, No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. This research lasted for 6 months, starting from August – January 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of POC fish waste and NPK 16:16:16 on growth and yield of sweet potato plant production. This study used a factorial 4 x 4 Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the POC of fish waste consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 50, 100, 150 ml/l of water. The second factor is NPK 16:16:16 consisting of 4 levels, namely 0, 15, 30, 45 g/mound. Parameters observed were number of tubers, weight of wet stover (g), weight of dry stover, tuber diameter (mm), tuber weight per plant (g) and tuber weight per bulb (g). The data from the observations of each treatment were statistically analyzed and continued with the further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of fish waste POC and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on tuber diameter parameters. Where the best treatment combination is the concentration of POC fish waste 150 ml/l water and NPK 16:16:16 45 g/mound (L3N3). The main effect of fish waste POC was on the parameters of the number of tubers per plant, weight of wet stover, weight of dry stover, weight of tuber per plant, and weight of tuber per tuber. Where is the best treatment at the concentration of POC 150 ml/l water (L3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant on the number of tubers per plant, weight of wet stover, weight of dry stover, weight of tuber per plant, and weight of tuber per tuber. Where is the best treatment at a dose of NPK 16:16:16 45 g/plant (N3).
