Abstract
research title "The Effect of Goat Manure and NPK 16:16:16 on the Growth and Production of Red Ginger (Zingiber officinale R.). The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Riau Islamic University Faculty of Agriculture, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution KM 11, Airingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted for 5 months from September 2019 - January 2020. The research objective was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of goat manure and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of red ginger plants. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is goat manure (K) consists of 4 levels, namely: 0.120, 240 and 360 g / polybag, while the second factor is NPK fertilizer (N) 16:16:16 which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 3, 6 and 9 g / polybag. Of these two factors, there were 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications. Then there are 48 experimental units. Each unit consists of 4 plants, and 2 are used as sample plants, so that the total number is 192 plants. The data were analyzed statistically and if there was a real difference, it was continued with the Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is concluded as follows: The interaction of giving goat manure and NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 has an effect on the number of leaves, number of tillers, weight of wet rhizomes per clump and weight of dry rhizomes per clump. The best treatment for goat manure is 360 g / polybag and NPK dose of 16:16:16 9 g / polybag (K3N3). The main effect of goat manure affects all observation parameters. The best treatment is goat manure 360 g / polybag (K3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 dose was on all parameters of the observation. The best treatment is a dose of NPK 16:16:16 9 g / polybag (N3).
