Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction test of the application of cow's blood meal and KCI on the growth and production of tomato plants. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Jalan Kharudin Nasution, KM 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The study was conducted for five months, from February to June 2021. This study used a completely randomized design, consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was beef blood meal consisting of 4 levels, namely: 0, 70, 140 and 210 g/plot. The second factor was KCI which consisted of 4 levels, namely: 0, 1.9, 3.8 and 5.7 g/plant. Observation parameters were: plant height, number of productive branches, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruit per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit and root volume. The data from the observations of each treatment were statistically analyzed and continued with the Honestly Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between cow's blood meal and KCI significantly affected the number of productive branches, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, and root volume. The best treatment was found in beef blood meal 210 g/plot and KCI 5.7 g/plant. The main effect of beef blood meal was significant on all plant parameters, with the best treatment being 210 g/plot, and the main effect of KCl was significant on all plant parameters. The best treatment was 5.7 g/plant.
