Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of tofu liquid waste and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research was conducted at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution KM 11 No. 113 Marpoyan Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 4 months, starting from April - July 2021. Objective To determine the effect of the interaction of tofu liquid waste and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth of cocoa plant seeds. Factorial Completely Randomized Design. The first factor is tofu liquid waste which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 264, 528, 792 ml per polybag and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely: 0, 4, 8, 12 gram per garden was repeated 3 times to obtain 48 experimental units. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem circumference, largest leaf area and root volume. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest real difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of tofu liquid waste and NPK 16:16:16 had a significant effect on all observation parameters with a combination of treatments, namely tofu liquid waste at a dose of 528 ml/polybag and NPK 16:16:16 at a dose of 12 g/plant. The effect of tofu liquid waste on cocoa plants has a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment for tofu liquid waste is at a dose of 528 ml/polybag. The effect of 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer treatment on cocoa plants had a significant effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was found in NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer at a dose of 12 g/plant (N3) which resulted in the highest growth.
