Abstract

The use of heavy equipment aims to facilitate humans in carrying out work so that the expected results can be achieved more easily and relatively shorter time. The problem that is often encountered in the implementation of construction projects is that the implementation of the field is not suitable with the schedule that has been prepared, resulting in a problem both regarding the cost and time of project implementation that impacts on the productivity of heavy equipment. Heavy equipment productivity is a determining factor for the success of a project implementation, good productivity will make the project implementation in accordance with predetermined planning. This study aims to obtain heavy equipment productivity, time of implementation and operational costs of heavy equipment in the construction of the Pekanbaru City South Area Waste Water Pipeline (Package SC-2) volume of 10586.00 m3. This study uses a research method that is field observation. Based on the results of the analysis of productivity capacity, time and cost in the analysis of researchers and alternatives. In the analysis of researchers, for Dump Truck productivity capacity get a productivity value of 2.68 m3 / hour with the number of heavy equipment 3 units and the productivity capacity of the Excavator get a productivity value of 23.24 m3 / hour with the number of heavy equipment 1 unit and the time required by both tools to complete the work, which is 336 days with a total total cost of heavy equipment of Rp. 1,014,871,245,1. Whereas in the alternative analysis get Dump Truck productivity capacity of 3.35 m3 / hour with the number of 2 units of heavy equipment and Excavator productivity capacity of 31.7 m3 / hour with a number of 1 unit of heavy equipment and time to complete the work that is for 336 days with a total the overall cost of heavy equipment is Rp. 921,778,491.60.
