Abstract

The efficient use of cooperative capital enables the cooperative to get optimal results every year. The optimal result is in the form of direct economic benefits that are obtained by the cooperative members at the time of the transaction between the members and the cooperative. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the management, employees and members of KUD Trani Maju, analyze the business profile of KUD Trani Maju, analyze the direct economic benefits created by KUD Trani Maju and analyze the economic efficiency of KUD Trani Maju. This research uses a case study method at KUD Trani Maju in Pontian Mekar Village, Lubuk Batu Jaya District, Indragiri Hulu Regency. This research was conducted for eleven months, starting from February 2019 to December 2020. The sample was taken by census with a total sample of 36 people. The results showed that the highest management age was 56-60 years as many as 2 people, employees 36-40 years as many as 7 people and members 36-45 years as many as 10 people. Most board members are SMA, employees are SMA and members are SMP. The highest KUD management experience is 31-35 years as many as 2 people, employees 21-25 years as many as 13 people and members 21-25 years as many as 11 people. The number of family dependents of the management is 3 people on average, 3 employees and 3 members. KUD capital growth in 2015-2019 continues to increase, the highest number of assets in 2018, the highest liabilities in 2015, the highest income in 2019, the highest expenditure in 2019, the highest SHU in 2019. Direct economic benefits from the fertilizer, herbicide, wasrda and business units Highest loan interest rate in 2019 Rp 213,066,989. And the lowest amount of MEL is in 2015 amounting to Rp. 100,606,694. The economic efficiency of KUD Trani Maju after being analyzed produces an average ratio of business capital turnover with a value of 448.63 times and fulfills the criteria very well. The average value of the profit margin is 6.36% with good enough criteria. The average value of economic profitability is 27.48% with good criteria. The average value of the equity profitability of 27.48% fulfills the very good criteria. Then the average value of the working capital turnover rate is 1.06 times with good enough criteria. And the average value of return on working capital is 6.83 times with very good criteria. These values are at a good standard because they have reached the standard set by the Minister of Cooperatives and MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia in 2009. For the management of KUD Trani Maju to further develop every cooperative activity so that later direct economic benefits and economic efficiency will be better.
