Abstract

Indonesia has a target must be achieved for producing oil in 800,000 BOPD, but production oil suprisingly declined over the past decade because the company only producing oil on the Mature Oil Field. PT. SPR Langgak is a company that has an Mature Oil Field, so it field needs to increase production in the Dandelion Field. One way to do this is to Improve Oil Recovery. Surfactant is a solution in applying the IOR method, one of them is the surfactant huff and puff method. However, because surfactant prices are expensive while IOR projects depend on economics, there is a need for more attractive investment options. An attractive investment option offered by the government is the change of cooperation contracts from PSC cost recovery to PSC Gross Split based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 08/2017 which was later revised to a Gross Split based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 52/2017. This study aims to determine which of system contract in Gross Split is more feasible to be applied at PT. SPR Langgak whether Gross Split based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 08/2017 is still feasible or already better to use Gross Split based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 52/2017 by comparing the final results of economic indicators (NPV, IRR, and POT). To get the final result of the economic indicators, the cash flow value of the two Gross Split examined needs to be done.This research bring about a comparison of the value of economic indicators namely NPV, IRR, and POT, respectively, in the Gross Split cooperation system based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 08/2017 NPV = 6,159 MUS $, IRR = 174 %, and POT = 2.04 months. Whereas the Gross Split cooperation contract system is based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 52/2017, NPV, IRR, and POT values are NPV = 7,862 MUS $, IRR = 214%, and POT = 1.62 months. Then Gross Split based on ESDM Minister Regulation Number 52/2017 is the best oil and gas cooperation contract system choice can be use in PT. SPR Langgak.
