Abstract

Palm oil is one of the potential commodities that is widely cultivated in Sungai Buluh Village, Singingi Hilir Sub-District. To be able to grow and produce well, oil palm production actors require the use of optimal production factors. This study aims to analyze 1) Characteristics of oil palm farmers, 2) Use of factors of production, cost, production, income and efficiency of oil palm farming, 3) Factors that influence the production of oil palm farming. The research was carried out using the survey method, with respondents who were deliberately selected by the criteria of independent farmers who had oil palm plantations of productive age (10-15 years). The results showed: (1) Characteristics of farmers have an average age of 46.32 years, the average level of education is 9.61 years (SMP). the average number of farmers is 4 people and the experience of farmers in oil palm farming is 13.48 years. The average land area of farmers is 3.63 Ha. (2) the use of production factors is known to be below the average number of seeds used as much as 480.50 principal, TSP 1.784 kg, urea 1.674 kg, and KCL 1.516 kg; Gramoxon pesticides 9.76 liters, 9.53 round-ups, and 9.63 liters of herbatops; and a workforce of 99.66 HOK and the tools used are (eggrek eye, fiber eggrek stalk, angkong, hoe, gancu, kapak, dodos, tripe machete and sprayer) of 1 unit each. The average production cost is 40,227 / arable / year (consisting of variable costs Rp. 39,818 / arable / year and fixed costs Rp. 408,251 / arable / year); The average production of FFB production is 64,740 kg / arable / year, with a selling price of Rp 1,449 / Kg FFB; gross income, amounting to Rp. 93,813,371 / claim / year; efesiansi or RCR obtained at 2.33 means that oil palm farming is profitable and as much as 2.33 means that oil palm farming is profitable and feasible to be cultivated. (3) Real temperature factors (significant) towards oil palm production in Singingi Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency are urea fertilizer fields. While labor and KCl fertilizer, TSP fertilizer and pesticides are not significant for palm oil production.
