Abstract

This research was conducted to know the opinion of citizen in east sidomulyo RT 05 RW 07 kelurahan maharatu kecamatan marpoyan damai pekanbaru toward shopee 12.12 advertisement in television. The reason of researcher chose shopee 12.12 advertisement as object of the research because it has warned by KPI because of showing vulgar content and did not allow KPI rules. Opinion was known as the way to give an argument. This research used descriptive method in which the researcher described the deep interview toward the subject of the research. Based on the result of interview toward the informan in east sidomulyo RT 05 RW 07 can be concluded that all of the informant watched shopee 12.12 advertisement in television. Most of the informant have negative attitudes toward shopee 12.12 advertisement because of vulgar content and has negative impact toward the children. Meanwhile, the positive attitudes toward the advertisement is about the discount that is shown by the shopee 12.12. Based on the result of the research and analysis data that have been done, the researcher found that most of the informan did not like shopee 12.12 advertisement because it’s dangerous for children who see these ads and will damage morale if ads like this continue to air, that was shown in television but this advertisement has great sale and other promotion tbat is used by citizens who online shopper.
