Abstract

Terminal Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki functions as infrastructure for road transportation for the purpose of loading and lowering the arrival and departure of people and organizing public transportation. But in reality many transport drivers do not use the terminal, they prefer to raise and lower passengers outside the terminal. This often happens because of the lack of supervision carried out by the Ministry of transportation and Information Communication Pekanbaru so that the terminal does not run according to its original function. Based on this phenomenon, the formulation of the problem in this study is how the supervision of the Regional Transportation Management Office Region IV Riau Province and the Riau Islands to the function of the public transportation Terminal Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru in 2018 and what factors limit supervision. The purpose of this study is to investigate the supervision of the Regional IV Land Transportation Management Office of Riau Province and the Riau Islands in the function of the public transportation Terminal at Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru in 2018 and limit the factors in supervision. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method approach. In collecting data, researchers used interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of the supervision study of the Land Transportation Management Region IV of Riau Province and Riau Islands on the function of the 2018 Bandar Raya Payung Sekaki Pekanbaru public transport terminal have not been carried out to the maximum. It can be seen from the supervision of related parties that have been done but there are still many bus drivers who raise and drop passengers who are not in the terminal. The factors that influence supervision are human resources, leadership and community participation.
