Abstract
The high demand for the economy requires women to participate in increasing it by entering the world of work, be it the industry or entertainment, or other workplaces without regard to their rights. Because they have a greater risk, therefore women workers must also have their rights protected the same as male workers. In law No. 13 of 2003 concerning employment, there is a solution regarding the rights and obligations of workers / laborers and employers in protection. There is protection which is discussed in Law No.13 of 2013 concerning manpower from article 67 to article 101, which contains the protection of persons with disabilities, the protection of minors, regarding the protection of female workers, regarding working time, regarding safety, regarding wages and also about welfare. The importance of law no. 13 of 2003 aims to guarantee the basic rights of workers without discrimination. This study has two problem formulations, namely how the legal protection of female workers who work on night shifts at the Arena Pool & Café, Pekanbaru, in terms of Law no. 13 of 2003 and What are the rights and obligations of workers in the Arena Pool & Café who work on night shifts. The research method used in this research is observational research, by means of a survey, namely research by going directly to the field using interviews, when viewed from its nature this research is descriptive because this study intends to provide a clear and detailed description of the problems that are the main researches. . The results of the research carried out are legal protection for female workers who work on night shifts if reviewed from Law no. 13 of 2003 covers protection of working hours, protection of morality and security, protection of holidays and leave, provision of food and beverages, and provision of means of pick-up and drop-off for employees. Furthermore, the results of the survey and interviews provide the fact that the right of protection for female workers who work night shifts at the Arena Pool & Café has not been fulfilled in the form of providing nutritious food and drinks and providing transportation and transportation for employees.
