Abstract
This study is motivated by the Islamic Center Agung Mosqueto be one of the religious tourism destinations in Rokan Hulu Regency which is much in demand and visited by both local and foreign tourists. Currently, religious tourism is one of phenomena that starts to be more popular with various activities associated with religious tourism. The problem formulation of this study is the variables influencingtourists’ decision on visiting religious tourismof Islamic Center Agung Mosque in Rokan Hulu regency. This study aims to investigate the variables influencingtourists’ decision on visiting religious tourismof Islamic Center Agung Mosque in Rokan Hulu regency. The type of this study is field research with causality method. Data sources consist of primary and secondary data. The sample of this study consists of 100 people. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The data collection technique involves observation, questionnaire and documentation. The quantitative data are analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis performed in SPSS for Windows version 23.0. Based on the results of partial test, it is found that there is a significant influence of the factors of religiosity, tourist characteristics, awareness of the benefits of traveling, trip overview and the superiority of tourist destination on tourists’ decision. It is known that the correlation coefficient of 89.3%, it means thatit has a strong relationship. All the five independent variables have a significant influence on tourists’ decision, it can be seen from the F-count is greater than F-table (74.056> 2.20). In conclusion, there are contributions of the five independent variables (X) to the dependent variable (Y). The coefficient of determination is 78.7% and the remaining 21.3% is influenced by other variables which are not included in this study. In other words, the five independent variables have a strong influence on the tourists’ decision.
