Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between the explosive power of the leg muscles and coordination of foot and eye on the results of shooting football for U-12 athletes at Bina Bakat Pekanbaru Football Club. The type of this research is correlation. The population and sample in this study were 17 athletes of the U-12 Bina Bakat Football Club Pekanbaru. The research instrument used was a standing long jump test (broad jump), an eye-leg coordination test and a shooting at the ball test. The data analysis technique used was the correlation value test. It is concluded that 1) There is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power to soccer shooting skills at Athlete U-12 Football Club Bina Talent Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.545 > r table = 0.482, 2) There is a contribution of eye and foot coordination to soccer shooting skills at Athlete U 12 Bina Bakat Pekanbaru Football Club with a value of rcount = 0.698 > rtabel = 0.482, 3) There is a contribution of leg muscle explosive power and eye and foot coordination to soccer shooting skills at Athletes U-12 Football Club Bina Talent Pekanbaru with a value of rcount = 0.741 > rtabel = 0.482.
