Abstract
This study aims to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to extracurricular volleyball smash ability of the sons of Vocational High School 1. The type of this study is correlation which aims to find out whether there is a relationship between the two. The population of the study were 14 students of SMK 1 quok. The data is processed by product moment correlation technique used to determine the relationship between two variables and free contribution with the dependent variable in the interval or the scale ratio consulted on the table r 5% significance level. Then from the results of the product moment correlation calculation between the explosive power of the leg muscles with smash ability obtained r count 0.120 and r table 0.532 and the determinant coefficient of 1.4%. Thus there is a significant contribution between the explosive power of leg muscles with the extracurricular smash volleyball ability of the SMK 1 son of the subdistrict of kuok.
