Abstract
This research is entitled The Existence of Offering Dance in a Welcoming Ceremony in Benayah Village, Pusako District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. With the formulation of the problem, how is the existence of the offering dance in the welcoming ceremony in Benayah Village, Pusako District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the existence of the offering dance in the welcoming ceremony in Benayah Village, Pusako District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The method used is descriptive analysis method with qualitative data, using data collection techniques, observations, interviews and documentation. The theory used in this study is the theory of Sumandiyo Hadi (2002:25). From the results of the research that the author did, the existence of offering dances in Benayah Village, Pusako District, Siak Regency, Riau Province has existed since 2002, the existence of offering dances based on the ethnicity of the Benayah village community, namely the Malay, Ocu, and Javanese tribes accepted the existence and was entertained by the offering dance. Based on the religion of the Muslim and Buddhist communities, this dance does not conflict with religion and does not affect religious beliefs. Based on the races of the upper, middle and lower classes, the dance offerings are entertaining, as well as being a means of gathering to interact with each other in maintaining friendship.
