Abstract

Assessment is one of the important aspects in the learning process in educational institutions, this assessment itself has a function to measure the ability and success in dealing with the learning process. In this study the location observed was SMA Negeri 1 Rangsang, Kepualauan Meranti, Riau. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation and application of cultural arts learning assessment (dance persembahan) in grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Rangsang involving cultural arts teachers and students of grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Rangsang. This research uses descriptive method of qualitative analysis that requires indepth data and then analyzed thoroughly to obtain accurate data. The subjects studied in this study were art and culture teacher grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Rangsang. Observations are carried out for two months every Tuesday at the school. Based on the research that has been done, the assessment carried out by art and culture teachers is an authentic assessment that includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor assessments, these three assessments must be mastered by the learners, therefore teachers are also required to be proficient in applying these three aspects of assessment to the learners so that the teacher knows the development of learners in following the process of teaching and learning activities. The results concluded that the implementation of the assessment of dance culture learning performance prioritizes psychomotor assessment in learners, where the ability of learners becomes the main assessment in cultural arts learning materials, but cultural arts teachers still assess the cognitive and affective abilities of learners by providing questions in the form of oral and written tests to learners, as well as assessing the attitudes and behaviors of students in the learning process as well as outside the learning ptoses.
