Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of the Hapanasan Hot Springs Tourism Object of Haiti and to determine the inhibiting factors for the development of the Hapanasan Hot Spring Tourism Object by the Rokan Hulu District Tourism and Culture Office. Indicators set are tourists, transportation, attractions / attractions, service facilities, promotional information. Type of case study research is descriptive, with the determination of informants through snowball sampling techniques. Collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that the development of the Hapanasan Haitian hot spring attraction by the Rokan Hulu District Tourism and Culture Office in general has not been going well. This result is because visitors come from various regions in Rokan Hulu Regency, only a few tourists come from outside the area. Visitors who come to the Hapanasan Hot Spring every year are in the range of 20,000 - 40,000 people. Road access is not good yet. The purpose of visitors to come to Hapanasan Hot Springs are several objects that can be visited either to enjoy hot water baths for therapy and bathing, the beauty of natural forests, tree houses, small museums of butterflies and also there is a special food that is processed from the area. There are no lodging and restaurant supporting facilities. Factors hampering the development of Hapanasan Hot Springs are the low promotion carried out, the unavailability of connecting roads on the mainland while poor road access and the lack of service facilities for visitors who come to Hapanasan Hot Springs such as lodging and restaurants.
