Abstract
This study aims to improve the process and improve learning outcomes mathematics students of class VII-3 of SMP N 6 Siak Hulu through the application of group strategies resume in cooperative learning. Research subjects were students of class VII-3 SMP N 6 Siak Hulu which consists of 30 students consisting of 17 male students and 13 students women. This study is a Class Action Research (CAR) consisting of 2 cycles. The instruments of data collection consisted of observation sheets and test sheets learning outcomes that have been analyzed. Furthermore, data analysis techniques are used in this study is a descriptive data analysis with qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Based on the observation sheet at each meeting shows that there is an improvement in the learning process starting from the meeting first in the first cycle to the last meeting in cycle II. Based on the results learning to improve learning can be seen from the number of students who reach KKM on base score is 10 students or 33.33%, daily test-1 is 6 students or 20%, and the daily test-2 is 11 students or 36.67%. Based on the average learning outcomes Mathematics students in the base score were 41.50, in the daily test-1 that was 44.87, and the daily test-2 is 50.87. So that it can be concluded that the application group resume strategies in cooperative learning can improve processes and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII-3 students of SMP N 6 Siak Hulu.
