Abstract

The Value of Character Education in Mira W's Novel Mirror Never Lies The research entitled "The Value of Character Education in Mira W's Mirror Never Lies". The problem being researched is how the value of character education is in Mira W's novel Mirror Tak Never Berdusta. The aim is to describe, analyze, and interpret the value of character education in Mira W's Mirror Tak Never Berdusta?. The theory used in this research is about the value of character education proposed by Prayitno and Afriva Khaidir in Hasanuddin WS (2015:18). This research uses a descriptive method, a qualitative approach. The source of the data used is Mira W's novel Cermin Never Berdusta. The results of this study can be concluded that in Mira W's novel Cermin Tak Never Berdusta, there are 30 data on character education values. The results of the value of character education aspects of faith and piety found indicators of trust in God Almighty; carry out orders and leave God's prohibitions; be grateful; sincere. Aspects of honesty are characterized by an attitude with indicators saying what it is; to be responsible; keep promise. Aspects of intelligence are characterized by indicators of attitude; able to find solutions; logical/directed thinking; forward/positive thinking; active. Aspects of toughness found indicators of hard working attitude; patient; tenacious; quality orientation; discipline; dare to take risks; and keep safe. Aspects of caring there are indicators like to help. The dominant character education value found is toughness, while the least found value is caring.
